   Dr. Amerson Makes Her Mark!!

If you haven’t heard of Dr. Linda Amerson by now, it’s only a matter of time before you do.  The Arlington-based hair and scalp expert has been a guest columnist in over 25 national magazines and was recently featured on Michael Baisden’s syndicated radio show, aired on KSOUL 94.5.  She has made numerous appearances on television shows and in-person, even a recent satellite interview, speaking on the topic of Trichology.  Dr. Amerson was a guest on The Vanessa Waller Television Show, Tacoma, WA, via Skype.

“It’s a blessing,” Dr. Amerson said of the journey so far.  “I’ve put a lot of Marketing and Advertising into it and now more people are noticing.”

She has consistantly built her business in the hair/scalp care industry.  Over the last three decades it has expanded to treat Alopecia and scalp conditions, and now manufactures Dr. Amerson’s Hair, Scalp and Skin Therapeutic Essentials.  This exclusive product line was formulated by Chemist Tracy Ashley for Dr. Amerson.  It began with four hair products: Hair & Scalp Shampoo, Revitalizing Conditioner, Leave In Conditioner, and Anti-Itch Soothing Oil.  She now has 8 products.

The newest addition to the skincare line is a bath and shower gel, designed for all skincare types – especially for those who have dry skin or eczema.   It works well with our skincare package.  The bath and shower gel is very concentrated, a little goes a long way,” she explained.  “We used coconut oil as a base product so it’s very conditioning to the skin, especially when combined with the hand and body cream."

Though Dr. Amerson graduated from the International Institute of Trichology in Madison, Alabama, she said she always prayed about being where she is today.  The only clue throughout her life was the fact that she loved science and research.  Trichology is the scientific study of Alopecia and scalp disorder conditions.  Microscopes are used in the analysis process.
Numerous clients have found solutions for hair breakage, alopecia and other conditions relating to the scalp with Dr. Amerson’s help.  She works out of her spacious headquarters, L.A.’s Hair & Scalp Clinic, located on Pioneer Parkway.  The facility has an area designated for treatment and a conference room, where workshops, seminars, and expos are conducted.  In addition to serving clients and distributing skincare products, the business is also home to the U.S. Trichology Training Center since 1999.
This Corpus Christinative has definitely found her niche, working with clients from all over the world.  Launching the website, www.hairandscalpessentials.com, assisted the business with international exposure, also global connections in Rome, Spain, Africa and Greece.  If all goes well, Dr. Amerson plans to expand the product distribution and Education to Africain the future.
